Ash Wednesday and LentAsh Wednesday

February 18th
Holy Trinity offers two services of Communion and Impostion of Ashes on Ash Wednesday. One is at noon in All Saints Chape (just off the parish hall) the other is at 7:00 pm in the church. You are invited to join us for either service to make a prayerful start to your Lenten season.

Lenten worship
During the remainder of Lent there will be a Noonday Service every
Wednesday (12:00 noon of course). Please join us for this service. Our hope
is that you will also adopt and follow a regime of reading, prayer, outreach or other discipline that will make your journey through Lent meaningful for you and your family.

Christian Study Opportunities

Please keep checking back for updates in our Christian Education offerings and special worship and fellowship events.

Sunday School
Sunday School for kids and adults at 9:30 am every Sunday

Children's Homily
The children gather around the altar with Fr. David for a short talk on a variety of topics during the 10:30 am service.

Book ClubBook Club
A new monthly book club which will meet on the last Sunday of each month at 5:00 pm began on January 25th and the book for reading is The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller; it can be purchased at any bookstore.
The club meets at the same time as Kings Kids but all are welcome to come each month and enjoy the discussions of this book. What a great way to have some adult fellowship and learn more about our Lord at the same time.

Fill the Wagon Food Collection Ministry begins
Sunday, February 1st

Fill the wagon MinistryThis new ministry begins a new dimension of food ministry a Holy Trinity. The Fill-the-Wagon food collection ministry is fun, easy way for us to help others. This ministry will benefit Tricounty Family Ministries and the West Ashley High School Food Bank.
Here's how it works: a wagon will be placed in the back of the church for you to fill with donated nonperishable foods each Sunday. During the service we will bring the wagon up as an offering for a blessing. After church the items will be stacked in a corner of the church so we can watch it grow. At the end of the month the food will be donated to either Tricounty Family Ministries or the West Ashley High School Food Bank.

Every month will have a different theme; red foods, green foods, pb&j-related foods— you get the idea. February's theme is RED foods; suggested foods are canned tomatoes, diced tomatoes, ketchup, red beets, red jams, red jellies, spaghetti sauce, tomato juice, tomato sauce, etc. We'll publish the next month's theme on the last Sunday of each month.

Annual Pancake Supper and Talent Show,
Tuesday, February 17th at 6:00 pm

The annual Pancake Supper and Talent Show is our own "Mardi Gras!" Yes, on Shrove Tuesday, we will gather to indulge our love for a variety of pancakes, lots of syrup, sausages and all the other trimmings that go with it. And you are invited to join us for this delicious and fun event.
And after we're "fat and happy," we will be entertained by all the Holy Trinity stars. From the tiny ones to the seniors, they will "strut their stuff" for our enjoyment. It's a wonderful 20-year tradition of family time here at Holy Trinity. Over the years, we've had skits, singing, dancing, tumbling acts, karate, instrumental music, various readings, juggling and much more. You don't have to be good, you just have to be willing. After all, it's family and everyone knows families are very appreciative and indulgent when their own perform.Pancake Supper

Tickets at the door are:

  • adults–$8.00
  • children 6 years and up–$4.00 and
  • children five years and under eat free

Welcome from the pastor

Children's HomilyWelcome to Holy Trinity in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I invite you to explore this website to learn more about who we are as a church family and as followers of Jesus.
Of course a great way to find out who we are is to join us on Sunday mornings at either the 8 am or the 10:30am service.  If you have any questions about anything on our website or at our church, or if we can encourage you on your walk with the Lord, please feel free to send us an email or call (the number is below).
The mission of Holy Trinity is simple: To bring Jesus to a hurting world and to be a place where we can all grow and mature in the knowledge and love of God.
A note about our worship services: At Holy Trinity the Bible is understood to be the Word of God and the Holy Scriptures are the center of our worship.  However, we worship liturgically, which means in a special order that is very old and “Anglican”. That order of worship and many of our creedal statements are found in the Book of Common Prayer.  At Holy Trinity you will hear contemporary music as well as traditional hymns.

We have a nursery open during Sunday School and during the 10:30 service and a special Children's Homily during the service.
If you bring your children into the service and they get a little squirmy and make some noise...know that we are okay with that. We understand what you are going through. A wise old pastor once told me that "if the voice of the child is not heard in the church, then the voice of the church will not be heard in the child." I can preach over any crying baby or restless kid...I promise.
We are grateful you've stopped by.  We hope to see you on Sunday morning.

Your servant in Christ,
The Reverend David M. Dubay,
Rector (Pastor)
